Same subject

Hi,

I read that the same subject can't be used with 'wish',but I came across this sentence in a grammar book explaining the use of' wish':

'I wish I would get up earlier.'Is this use correct?

Another question:If the subject of 'wish' and 'would' can't be the same, are the subjects 'I' 'we' ' considered the same in similar sentences as the one below and thus using 'would' would be wrong?

'I wish we would spend more time together.'

Thanks

-- That particular one is a little odd in meaning, but these are quite all right: I wish I could get up earlier. I wish I had $10. I wish I were a king.

Mister MicawberI wish we would spend more time together.'- This is fine too, of course.
Does 'would spend' here express pure wish for the future only or some kind of unwillingness or perhaps other meanings?

Just future possibility, I assume.
