They probably mean the same although the order in the second one seems more natural. But the real question is: What do they actually mean?

A bit of context might be useful to answer that question.

Hey Einde O'Callaghan,
I think that the first one seems more natural when pronounced because you have the description before the noun(messages) Anyways yeah the second way has a more complicating way of being articulate. I strongly recommend that you go with the first one because it is simpler and sounds more natural. Yes you were correct when you assumed that they both have the same meaning and that they both make sense. As too the meaning, I'm not sure positive of what it means.
This is the definition for Predefined from Merriam-Websters online dictionary. 1 a (1): earlier than : prior to : before (2): preparatory or prerequisite to b: in advance : beforehand
As too the meaning, I'm not sure positive of what it means but my guess is that it means select a new... an already written message. I have one question though where does this excerpt come from? Are these some file commands?
