Which is correct:

1) I am of the same opinion as you

2) I am of the same opinion as yours

Actually, an implicit verb is left out here:

I am of the same opinion as you [are]. Since the pronoun is a subject of the clause here, it takes the nominative case 'you'.

but:

My opinion is the same as yours. [as your opinion]
