Same as well?

Hi teachers~

I have a question about SAME AS WELL.

I told my student "Have a nice day." and she said "Same as well."

It doesn' t sound right but I am not sure.

Can anyone help me?

It's not right. The reply is "You, too".

I can't think of a case where the reply "Same as well" makes sense.
