Salutation

Hello Teachers,

I was given a form to fill in some details.

There was a field named "salutation" followed by a field named "first name".

What is meant by salutation? Does it mean "Mr/Mrs/Dr"?

Thanks.

Hi, A salutation is a greeting. A simple example is 'Hello'. I can't think of why that would be on a form, perhaps they do mean "Mr/Mrs/Dr" as you say.
