Hi
Does salt as a verb sound natural in everyday English? Any suggestions please?
I didn't salt the curry much.
It seems you oversalted the omelet.
Thanks,
Tom
Yes, that's OK.

I mainly associate the verb "salt" with "salting the land" or "salting the earth." This was purported to be a revenge enacted on the Carthaginians by the Romans after Hannibal's defeat.
"oversalted" is OK. It ruins an otherwise delicious soup.
