Sale vs sell in a sentence

I am writing this letter in regards, to the selling of my property

I am writing this letter in regards to the sale of my property.

Top answer

"sale" seems the more likely choice, but there are other issues. The comma in the first sentence is most certainly wrong, but, whatever the punctuation, "in regards to" is a horrible abomination to my ear. The nearest expression that I would be comfortable writing is "with regard to".
