Salary negotiation thru email
Hi all,
Recently, I sent my resume to one of the company and them asking me about my salary and availability.
So I would to ask advice from all the readers here how to reply his mail in proper way. By the way, please let me know if I’m doing any mistake in this writing.
This is the email from the company that I sent my resume.
Hi Hampeh,
Thanks for this, will look into it later today. BTW, what is your salary
request and your availability?

I need assistance how to reply this mail because I’m not really good in negotiation. What should I say? Can I say something like this?
Dear John,
First of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity given to me. I’m really appreciating it. Currently, I’m doing a project for ABC and I have another project after this. I’m really enjoying this work and hopefully I can finish it. My expected salary is USD 5000 and I’ll be available in next year.

His email is quite casual, so you can respond with less formal language: Dear John, Thank you for giving me this opportunity-- I really appreciate it. Right now, I’m doing a project for ABC and I have another project after this. I’m really enjoying this work and I would like to finish both projects if possible-- in which case, I would be available from [ month ] 2008.
