In many countries in the world, some people earn extremely high salaries. Some people think that this is good for a country. Others think that the government should not allow salaries above a certain level. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is generally believed that people’s receiving totally high stipends is the wonderful sign of a country’s development whereas some people insist on a limitation on the amounts of salaries given to workers. In my view, I approve of the former view because of several benefits.

Without any doubt, it is beneficial for governments to put a limit on salaries. Were they to spend thousands of dollars for every individual, the funding would be significantly exhausted quickly. Accordingly, there probably would be no money left for the governors to solve environmental, economic and educational issues, particularly improve public transport systems, organize social campaigns for students, freshen polluted water sources and building accommodation. Hence, as for me, every person can enjoy satisfaction in life once governments cease giving salaries a lot, because they, for example, will be able to go to work by fast means of transport and drink fresh water.

However advantageous the above point is, I hold the opinion that everyone deserves to achieve high salaries if they are well-qualified. Firstly, I notice that outstanding workers with high degree and numerous talents tend to receive a great deal of wage which is right to their abilities. Thus, providing those people with high salaries is a way of respecting their true intelligence and efforts. Secondly, I also claim that individuals whose stipends are high have the habit of donating money for the disadvantaged to share difficulties. For this reason, the poor, the homeless and the disabled will no longer be the burdens of societies, since they all get financial support from affluent employees. Finally, it seems to me that if companies offer workers with high salaries, this will appeal exceptional people to work for it which definitely will provoke the development of it. For instance, some American successful firms, like Apple, is partly due to the workforce of skilled staff with high salaries.

Briefly, as reasonable salary cuts are, I am convinced that every individual is worth getting high salaries provided that they are talented enough.
