Said -reported speech

Scenario:

A: Can you get me the Sony headphones B?

B: Sure, I can get you the Sony headphones A.

C: Hey you know what B? Get her the Panasonic headphones instead.

A week later..

C: Did you get her the headphones yet?

B: Nope, I didn't know which one. She said she wants the Sony headphones but you want me to get her the Panasonic one instead?

1. B: Nope, I didn't know which one. She said she wants the Sony headphones but you want me to get her the Panasonic one instead? (Is this sentence okay? 'wants' and 'want' are okay here? They don't need to be past tense right because it is still happening? It is immediate past? )

Thanks.

However "C: Did you get her the headphones yet?" makes me uncomfortable. I don't know why but there's something wrong with using "did" and "yet". I would say "Have you got the headphones, yet?" Maybe someone with a good understanding of English grammar can explain why "did" and "yet" can not be used like this.
