Did you hear what Sheila .............. about her new job?

the key to book says that said is correct
but second book says that we never use say about?

the key to book says that said is correct Yes, it is.

As suggested by other posters above, this book is probably just pointing out that we never use say about when we mean talk about.

Sheila talked about her new job is fine.
Sheila said about her new job is wrong.
Sheila said something about her new job
