"s" needed here?

Sentence: There are so many unlucky souls out there who face(s) these sort of situation frequently.

Question: Does the word "face" in the sentence need "s" at the end? My understanding is it does not due to plural word souls, but I'm confused. Not sure. Kindly clear up the confusion with explanation.

Thanks

Regards
