Runny or flowing

Thanks for your response to my post.

I have a runny nose.

Or

My nose is flowing.

I think the first sentence is correct. But someone told me that both are incorrect. If it's so, please tell me how do you say it in natural English? I have seen the phrase 'for runny nose' on the cartons of syrup.
