running text

ciao,

I am writing my theses and I've got a suggestion to decscribe the formulae in the "running text".

Basically, I have got an idea how it should look like, but there are so many formulae so some nice ideas that come out would be helpful.

By the way, is this good an good example of the formula in the running text ?

Therefore, any random flow quantity U;
formula bla bla bla
can be decomposed into its mean value and the fluctuation component with generic instantaneous quantity U, mean value and fluctuation component u’.


Some alternations in punctuations would be welcome as well.
