Running Dry talking about a script

I am writting a review and I would like to to if it is possible to take a peek at it before I pencil this in -

The script is running dry. It's quickly going to run dry. The screenwriters are stalling. They don't know where to take the show. They should end it now on a high note while there still are people watching it.

Hi,

I'm not sure how to combine them. How would you do it? Can you make it idiomatic?

Hi,

eg The script is quickly running dry.

Do you mean one script, or the plural 'scripts'? It's one script per show.

Yes I'm talking about one script

Can you tell me how you'd write the whole thing? Is running dry idiomatic when talking about a show is it appropriate?

'Running dry' suggets to me that you are talking about a series of scripts, and each one is going to become less inteersting, with fewer good ideas. Tha
