Hallo paco,

How ya doing?

I guess you're not familiar with the GRE "analogy questions". It IS D. Martial and military are synonymous. Both mean 'relating to war'. However, cosmic means relating to the universe, and planetary means relating to the planets. They are whole different things.

I just want to know if runic conveys the meaning of "mysterious", and if

Hello Jeff

As long as I surveyed, OED doesn’t give any description suggesting "runic" can be synonymous to "mysterious". As for the relation between "planetary" and "cosmic", I admit I confused "planets" and "stars". Sorry for it.

Thank you Paco. Maybe native English-speaking experts would shed light on light. And that's "the universe" not "the stars". Emotion: smile

I understand the most of the mass of the universe consists of stars. Have you any other idea about it?

I just want to know if runic conveys the meaning of "mysterious", and if it is used as the alternative of "mysterious" in daily use.
No, "runic" is not used in everyday conversation as an alternative to saying "mysterious". "runic" is much more specialized. In addition to its use to denote certain Norse alphabetic characters, it is used to denote things occult.
