Run on sentence?

Is this OK: My friend just sent me this picture of me and some friends at a club I used to promote for in LA that had been taken over ten years ago.

It isn't a run-on sentence. "had been ... ago" is not a great combination, since "ago" is relative to now, while "had been" is relative to some point in the past.

"had been ... ago" is not a great combination, since "ago" is relative to now, while "had been" is relative to some point in the past. It may be that the past perfect is not necessary anyway, and you can change "had been" to "was".

While it is not a run-on sentence, it does appear to be overflowing with more ideas than it actually has the capacity to contain. I'd probably write it like this if I had to put it all in one sentence:
