R.S.V.P.

Hello,

How can I use R.S.V.P. in the sentences?

I'm an English learner so please tell me exactly.

in the situation that one boss gives directions to her assistant, she said that 'R.S.V.P. "yes" to the Michael Kors party'. I'm confused with the 'yes'.

Does she want him to reply if he please yes about her attending to his party, or is she answering 'yes' to his offer to join the party?

if you have any idea, please tell me.

bye~
