Routine

Every morning she looks at herself in the mirror and says: "'Morning... You look great... The day is gonna be awesome..." She does her routine once more and then she leaves for work.

A few things...

Is "routine" natural to describe that she's saying this to herself?

Is "does" OK or should it be "she says her routine..."

A routine usually consists of actually doing something, eg applying her makeup. Then she looks in the mirror, etc.
