Rout(chess)

Hi.
In:
"When you three or more pieces and he has only a King, You don't have to worry about the endgame.Enjoy the rout!"
does 'rout' mean 'a one-sided game'?

Thanks in advance!

A rout is an overwhelming defeat, which is what the loser of the game experiences, not the victor, so it would make more sense to say Enjoy your victory! Incidentally, I might as well correct the rest of it: When you have three or more pieces and he has only a k ing, y ou don't have to worry about the endgame.
