Round to someone's house?

Hi!

While preparing my homework for my English classes I came accross the following sentence in one dialogue. Can you please explain what it means. It is highlighted in bold below. Thank you in advance!

Dad: I didn't here you come home last night. What time did you get in?

Daughter: About 11:00

Dad: Where did you go?

Daughter: Just round to Beth's house

Here 'round' just means 'over' — it is an indicator of unspecified distance.
