rough adn grips
How did you enjoy Wo caves? Bob asks Jim.
"Amazing" he replies. " I saw the caves while 'BW Rafting', and I enjoyed the candlelight walk through the Reserve to see the glowworms you took us all on. It did not stop there though, later on a group of us from the coach went down to the Wo Tavern for a few drinks - I feel a bit rough today!" Bob laughted, Jim, he thought, was slowly getting to grips with what the AA was all about.
My question is:
1, It seems that Jim enjoyed the trip. why he feels a bit rough today? does rough have other meaning than hard?
2, I don't find grips in the dictionary. Maybe it's a typo of grip? what does grip mean here?
3, "you took us all on" is for which part? walk or Reserve? It's for glowworms from the angle of grammar, but it's not logical in meaning, right?
