I'm working on the semantic research and these words are the subjets of that research. The questionnaire will help me see the difference between the words as I have to describe their definitions.

Many of your sentences contain linguistic distractions. The reason why the sentences are unnatural is not because of the usage of "way" versus "road", but because other collocations within the sentences are strange. There are no instructions to ignore these oddities, so you may get fallacious results.

In a world-wide survey, you will get many American English respondents.
There are many phrases in your sentences peculiar to to British English, and not idiomatic in other Englishes, so the sentences will be marked "odd" because of regional or dialectical differences.
