Rising to something

Hi

There is something within you, like a little homing
device, that keeps pulling you forward. When you answer
that call, something in you resonates, and your whole being
lights up. You get this sense of esteem and confidence, and
you feel that you are rising to something.

What does "rising to something" above probably mean? I know that you can rise to the challenge.
