Ripe vegetables

How do I correct some sentences?

(a) Peter has a farm. He loves vegetables as his wife. After the vegetables grow, he put ripe vegetables into a basket.

(b) Peter's wife helped him collect the vegetables and put them into basket. After that, she took baskets and went home.

(c) He waters vegetables every day, so the vegetables grow very big.

(d) He picked mature fruits and vegetables from his farm and put them into some baskets.
