Right word

Hi
What is the term to refer to a situation when too many people move in the road and as a result the road is congested?

Top answer

If you're talking about cars and other vehicles, it's a TRAFFIC JAM or TRAFFIC CONGESTION. If it's too many people on a road, I guess you could call it a foot traffic jam, a pedestian jam, pedestrian congestion, or street overcrowding, I suppose.

If the congestion is limited to a relatively short distance, we can also use the term bottleneck.
