Right sentense?

Although major terrorist attacks in high-profile destinations such as New York, London, Madrid or Bali often receive the bulk of attention, such tragedies occur frequently in all parts of the world.

How can a dependent clause (Although ~,) have two verbs as shown in italics and in the underlined part.

Isn't "major terrorist" a subject and "attacks" a verb in Although clause?

Then how can a verb("receive") come again in the same clause?
