Right or wrong

You know for all that I say to defend you & your way of twisted Christian thinking to everyone that ever asks me about my wife’s family I am speechless right now.

After reading this sentence do you belive the writter that the attendent has a twisted way of Christian thinking or is he saying that he has to defend the person all the time?

What is the writer trying to convey?

It's not clear if the person has said something even more outrageous than he considers usual, or if the person has said the doesn't defend him or her when challenged.
