The authors of Theory "R" Management did not know about the scientific research that shows that fear, threat, intimidation and putdowns create "downshifting" and minimal "heart-brain" performance. Neither did the famous organizational theorist Edwards Deming when he called for an abolishment of "fear" from the workplace and learning place (and, I presumes, the family place). But the Aldersons' values, experience and intuition are right on the mark when they claim that: "Most people want to contribute unconditionally to the environment in which they live and work. They want to be wholly a part of something...."
Please paraphrase or explain them.
