right on the mark?

Hello,

The authors of Theory "R" Management did not know about the scientific research that shows that fear, threat, intimidation and putdowns create "downshifting" and minimal "heart-brain" performance. Neither did the famous organizational theorist Edwards Deming when he called for an abolishment of "fear" from the workplace and learning place (and, I presumes, the family place). But the Aldersons' values, experience and intuition are right on the mark when they claim that: "Most people want to contribute unconditionally to the environment in which they live and work. They want to be wholly a part of something...."

Please paraphrase or explain them.

Thank you.
