Right = OK / I understand?

Hello,

Could you please advise what the meaning of 'right' is in the exchange below because I usually hear this from British people. Thank you.

Jon: You will receive your test result on Monday.
Michelle: Right.
Jon: Bring a valid ID.
Michelle: Right.
Jon: That's all you need.
Michelle: Thank you for that information.

Is 'right' the same as saying 'OK'?
Or does it mean 'I understand'?
