Right eye or OD/od - capitalisation

Hi,

Right eye is abbreviated with OD.

What I want is to know if I can use abbreviation in complete capitals or small letters are also used in Opthalmic report?

Anonymous complete capitals or small letters are also used in Opthalmic report?
Use only capital letters OD ( oculus dexter ) and never put a period (.)

Please note down the difference:

OD - oculus dexter

od - once daily

* Use only capital letters for oculus dexter ( right eye )
