Which of the following is the meaning of "right" in the example above?

"Right" seems to be an inappropriate response. For that reason, I think it means "I'm not really listening to you because you're boring me with what you're saying about that book." It's a lot like repeatedly saying "Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh" after everything the other person says.
