Hi teachers,

Which is the best answer

What do they usually do on Sundays?

a) They ride bikes.

b) They ride on bikes.

I would choose "They ride bikes." because "ride on" might be misinterpreted as "to continue to ride" and the sentence wouldn't make much sense. However, I think that both are correct.

I don't see 'ride on bikes' as meaning anything continuous at all. A is the native response; B is not.
