Are you sure that is not "riddled" with failure? I'd have to have a context for "ridden with failure" as nothing comes to mind for me about that. Could you give us the sentence or paragraph that it is in?

I think what you're looking to say is written with failure as in that it has failure written all over it. however, you could also say ridden with failure as in that you have been riding as a failure or with a failure. you could also say riddled with failure if you attempted to succeed in overcoming this failure several times but were not able to do so. in general, however, you'll get the point acr
