Rice, grains, crops

In the dictionary, rice, wheat, etc. and even grain are stated as having the same meaning. "a seed from a plant like grass".
So I wonder what is the actual difference between "grain" and other specific items like "wheat", "rice", etc.
About crops, I can understand it as the general term for items like "rice", "wheat", etc.

Please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

Thank you Mister Micawber.
Do you mean grain is the general term for the rice, barley, jowar, wheat, etc.?
And about crops, do you mean even those fruits like mangoes which grow on trees are crops?
