Essay & Composition Writing

Review/comments on attached essay on grammar and proper writing

I firmly believe that a key benefit of a diverse educational community is creating a learning atmosphere where students can meet fellow students whose life experiences and views differ significantly from their own. A college student should be prepared to be at home and at ease in a wide variety of environments, including at the college and professional levels, and with a wide variety of people, regardless of their background, gender, skin color and ethnical background. It is a well documented fact that many universities admissions process seek to foster diversity by admitting students from a wide range of backgrounds socio-economically, culturally, geographically and educationally. I agree with this approach provided that the process is objective and not biased in favor of one group of students or another

I value diversity of knowledge, ability and experience. My high school classmates have all sorts of personal interests, skills and ethnical backgrounds. It is always great to find someone with knowledge in an area in which I lack it. For example, a classmate and friend of mine is a computer programming wizard. How helpful was he to have around when I was struggling with my programming class. My belief is that the educational community needs people of different backgrounds, races, ages, sex and religious beliefs to enrich our schools, communities and eventually, our workplace. Working in a diverse group of educational community prepares you for all real world situations, and allows you to understand the difference between you and those different from you.
