Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold.

To what extend do you agree or disagree?

An increase in selling products for buyers lead to the high sales. As a result, the campaign for advertisements of producers commences expanding. Some people say that these advertisements are not the real needs in the society in which they are sold. I completely agree with this opinion.

On the one hand, advertising will help producers for introducing their products. For them, it is a great way for going up sales. For instant, clothes, furniture, shoes or food is the kinds of products. Campaigns for advertising are so really necessary, because if they do not create the attention, consumers rarely know them. Thus, companies must be contentious. They can hire well-known models, singers, actors and so on so that producers can easily attract people to buy. The other reason is that while there are too many same products in firms and customers have the difficult in choosing a suitable item. Advertisement is vital for them to know the use in each product and choose the most due one.

On the other hand, sometimes firms and companies use tricks for introducing these items too much. This might lead to people are attracted before stimulating, lovely products. They will purchase items which are not essential for them, and waste money such as my friend who used to be a girl had a love for shopping online, when she saw attractive clothes, she bought a lot, but once in a while she wore them because they were not necessary. Now, she gives up shopping online habitat and purchases them when she is really in need. Secondly, some producers are not honorable, they edit their products to make a beautiful appearance. Hence, customers tend to be deceived. I remember once while I was suffering Facebook, I saw an advertisement for Dreamcatchers, and I relished them, so I purchased purple one and blue one, but when they were delivered to my home, they did not look like things that I saw on Facebook, I was very disappointed, and I no longer want to buy the Dreamcatcher.

In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that producers should limit their advertisement and focus on product quality. Besides that, consumer need to understand clearly what they want to buy so that they will avoid the unnecessary items.
