Review on the tenses ! 2-Present Continuous

Firstly, I'm sorry to post subject in the wrong place. Secondly, Hi everybody ! since a few minutes I've finished studying of all tenses and I've written some sentences and i need performance evaluation below each tense you will find the sentences. I know that there are many mistakes into them. So, please focus in explain the reason for the amendment in each tense, because i want to understand my mistake and don't repeat it.

1-she is not working now, she is swimming in the sea ---------------------
2-why is mary not wearing her new dress ---------------------
3- it is rainning ---------------------
4- she is practising the violin ---------------------
5- what are you reading now ---------------------
6- the sun is shining and the birds is singing ---------------------
7- the fireman is coming down again ---------------------
8- he is carrying a baby ---------------------
9- you can't see Sam now, he is having a bath ---------------------
10- i won't go out as it is rainning and i am not having an umbrella ---------------------
11- the kettle is boiling now. shall i make tea ? ---------------------

This is because there are some verbs which are usually not used in PRESENT CONTINUOUS. (Sometimes they can be used but this is something you could learn after you have learnt the regular rule.)

These verbs are usually not used in CONTINUOUS

see, hear, prefer, understand, know, hate, belong, realize, want, need, loathe and others.

Well, you might be confused now as you might wonder - why is it ok to say

I am having dinner now. - (HAVING)

and it is not ok to say
I am having an umbrella.

This is because the verbs can have more than one meaning

For example, - HAVE
1) if it means to possess then it is not used with - ING.

2) if it means - to spend time - then it ca
