Review of mistakes of one small paragraph

"Due to the fact that she used to work six days in a week, she cannot imagine a day without the work. Now that she is eighty-three, she still leads a suprisingly active and busy life. Sometimes she used to be in the mood for reading a newspaper or doing crosswords, but what she loved the most was going to theatre where she would go with her husband."

Thanks a lot in advance. for checkin any mistakes.

Because she used to work six days in a week, she cannot imagine a day without the work. Although she is eighty-three, she (still) leads a surprisingly active and busy life.

The use of the past tense in the last sentence doesn’t make much sense to me, either.
