Review my writing task 1

The graphs show the percentage of weekly expenditure on the six most common categories in Britain and America. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two pie charts give information about the percentage of expenses done weekly on rent, food ,transport, books, DVDs and going out by American and British.

Overall, it can be seen that for United Kingdom the highest expenditure is on rent whiles the highest of the expenses is on food by the American.Also the same percentage of money is spent on transport and going out for both countries.

In the United States, the expenses on food is the highest which records as 25 %.The second highest of the expenditure is on rent which reads as 20 percent. Transport, books and going out recorded the same figure of 15%.The least figure of the expenses is on DVDs(10%).

Looking at the United Kingdom, rent is the most common thing money is spent on which is less than a third. At 18 percent, groceries is recorded as the second highest of the expenditure. The same figure of less than a fifth is spent on transportation and going out .DVDs and books are the least things money is spent on which records as 10 percent and 12 percent respectively.

In comparison, the same percentage of expenses is on DVDs for both countries.
