Some people say that tourism has many negative effects on the countries that people travel to. How true is this statement? What can tourists do to reduce the harmful effects tourism on local cultures and environments? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience.

In today’s world, tourism has been indentified as one of the largest industries which have a hug impacts on our economy. With the more and more developing, it has led to various negative effects on the host countries and pu a heavy press in taking actions to better the situation.

Indeed, to tourism has caused damage to both local cultures and environments on the countries travelling to. For the most part, tourists visiting popular destinations tend to travel by trend, especially check-in movement. Travellers inscribe or write names, the hopes without hestitating on the historial walls or statues, which satisfy the desire to own unique and personalized photos. Some even have fantastic poses with uncompatible customs in religious places for creating difference in check-in movement. Not only does take away the beauty of the tourism, it also loses the traditional values of cultural heritages. In terms of environment, the indigenous residents have to scrifice their natural resources to accomadate tourist insatiable demands which leads to pose a serious threat to

Such negative impacts can be reduced or avoided by several effectve ways. To illustrate, the hordes of tourists should be read clearly the instructions after going to tourist destinations. Besides, they are aware of keeping all the properties of tourist attractions intact and not littering along their tour. instead of just travelling to well-known places many times or just in resorts whole day, tourist can join in some new adventures such as sailing, canoeing or focus on eco-tours to preserve the environment and enjoy new experiences.

To summarize, although there are some demerits of tourism to local cultures and environment, some suggestions above coud be the efficient method to improve these probems.
