Review Correction

Could you help me out with this review?
It's the first review I've written and to be honest it was quite difficult because I've never been to a music festiva, and to make up events is a hard task.

Summer Star Festival Moraira

I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of music festivals. When my best friend Sara showed up with two tickets for the Summer Star Festival in Moraira I was quite skeptical. I've never liked the atmosphere on this kind of events, especially the ones that are supposed to be aimed for young people.

The ticket included acommodation in a three stars hotel in Moraira which turned out to have a beautiful sight towards the sea. It was confortable and clean more than enough for our purpose.

The festival itself was located next to the village at a beach called “Las Rocas”. The venue was stunning, the sea was beside us, there were a lot of palm trees which gave us shadow, stands to get drinks, etc. The event started early in the morning at eight o'clock and it lasted for 3 days without any interruptions. The music was mainly Spanish, but not only pop, which is very common, also rock, indie and hip hop. It certainly, was n interesting mix of music. We could take a look at the programm thanks to a brochure they gave us at the beginning of the concert, as such we could decide which groups were worth and with we could leave out, and do some sightseeing instead. The only thing I can criticize is the fact that there wasn't much choice from the non-alcoholic drinks.

To sum up, I would definitely recommend visiting the Summer Star Festival in Moraira not only for the great entertainment but also for the beauty of the village.

Thanks so much! Both of you were of great help.

I just have one question, why can't you use sight in this context? Isn't it a synonym of view? What is the difference between them?

What an excellent question! Yes, the two words are synonyms, so why is there a preference for "view" over "sight" in this usage? I'll give you my opinion, which may not be satisfactory.
  • "Sight" is often used for a particular person (or party of persons) for a particular occurrence: "The explorers had to climb the mountain before they had sight of the sea."
  • "Sight" is often u

I think I've got what you mean.
But especially sight is a bit difficult to understand for a non-native speaker, I have to do another exercise where I have to write a sentences with "sights" (the plural form) and I'm not convinced with what I 've written.

Because I've written: "The sights we saw during our hiking trip in fall were beautiful" But with your explanation it seems like "vi

The choice of word depends on what you saw on your hiking trip. If you saw several unconnected, but remarkable things, then you'd use "sights." For instance, if you saw a glimpse of a waterfall through the trees, a rare bird, an ancient ruin, and a field of beautiful wild flower, then you'd use "sights."

On the other hand, it you saw several panoramas on the trail -- the rocky coast, a
