Is this okay: Ben is a great coach! His knowledge and experience in football is unmatched. I’ve trained with him a few times and his methods have made me a more complete player. I highly recommend him to anyone prepping for tryouts or combine.

I wouldn't like the logic of "more complete".

Better is:

"... have helped me become a better player."
