Reverse bucket list
The bucket list is all about writing down the things you want to do before you kick the bucket (skydiving, touring the Great Pyramids of Giza, etc.). But it might also be helpful to have a Reverse Bucket List.
Because as time sashays on, it becomes clearer that some of the dreams that have lurked in the back of your mind since high school are never going to happen.
You're never going to become the world-famous lead singer of a Kiss tribute band.
Or a Nicaraguan freedom fighter.
You're not going to marry Pam Anderson. And/or Brad Pitt.
You're not going to join the NHL, the Joffrey Ballet or a NASCAR pit crew.
You're not even going to win the Vermont Wife-Carrying contest.
See how freeing it is to not have all those old aspirations cluttering up your head? What else should go on your Reverse Bucket List?
