Revealed or would reveal

I've found this sentence in a dialogue:

Don't do that! Any silly move that would reveal he's a cop would certainly bring about his murder.

I have a doubt. According to the grammar rules I studied, I think it should be written this way:
Don't do that! Any silly move that revealed he's a cop would certainly bring about his murder.

Are both sentences correct? Is it possible would+would?
