Revamp/relaunch

Can revamp and relaunch be used interchangeably sometimes? The example I am thinking of is "Last month we announced our website relaunch/revamp." Thanks.

Vamp is one of those words that has nothing to do with the newer word “revamp”. Whereas ‘vamp’ can mean a musical passage or the seductive action of a woman, ‘revamp’ suggests renewing, repairing, and improving something. Relaunch suggests a lot more effort—perhaps announcements, a new web address, explanations, links, etc.

  • Consider which is closer to what actually was done.

Thanks. I'll go for "relaunch". Would it be ok to say something like "*** unveils relaunched website?"

Yes. I would likely use '*** unveils its/our/their relaunched website'.

Because relaunch includes the idea of unveil, I think I'd say
"*** relaunches website".

Thanks, both. What about "*** unveils new-look website"?
