Please look at the following question.

A) As soon as I can B) He'll return tomorrow C) Actually I did a minute ago.
The correct answer is "C) Actually I did a minute ago". I think I can answer "A) as soon as I can" when getting such question.
Could you explain to me why A) as soon as I can can't be an answer?
