The followings is part of the dialogue between Meg and Mrs.Which from A Wrinkle in Time(2018 Film).
Mrs. Which : Glorious?(CHUCKLES) You don't tesser well.
Meg: In what way? Because I don't feel or see anything when we tesser.
Mrs. Which : And you won't until you become... one with the universe and yourself. As it is, it seems like... you don't even want to return as yourself.
Meg: Oh... Is there any way I can return as somebody else? That I might like?
Context: Meg has been a mess since her father went missing. Here, Mrs.Which encourages her to be herself again.
Question: Why is "return as yourself" used here instead of "return to yourself". Are they interchangeable here?
