retrieving

I know the meaning of retrieve, like for data or what dogs do. But 'retrieving' in these phrases is not understandable for me.

I thought it means find and bring back. Would you please tell me if that means in that regard in these sentences? I don't think so. So, if it is please explain the proper meaning.

Retrieving black money from abroad may revive economy, says FICCI.

Thanks for your answer, but I didn't understand them with that meaning.
The first one is understandable :Retrieving black money from abroad may revive economy, says FICCI.

But the others, is not understandable for me, could you please explain the meanings?

250 Lb. Pull Retrieving Magnet (I guess it means it lift things, not particularly find ferromagnetic metals)

You have explained them yourself.

I can understand the meanings. The problem is that I only see picking up, not finding. And I don't know where exactly I should use 'pick' or 'retrieve'. I can see no differences between them.
I am trying to learn when and where should I use retrieve.

Use it occasionally in formal writing. I haven't used it in years, myself.
