Resume dilemma

Hi,
I am currently studing masters in IT. I am just wondering if I should include my current field non-related job ( like working in restaurants, gas stations) in my resume. If yes, how detail should it be? .....and yes lets assume I am applying in some IT companies.

I wouldn't include it at all.

Thank you Mister....but...
If I don't include that then that period will seem to be missing from my resume.....its a long period of 2 years and I have done nothing related to my field. Shouldn't I reveal that period too, otherwise the resume readers might have doubts about those periods.

I had presumed that you are a graduating university student, isn't that so? If you wish, you can add a line about temporary employment to finance your master's degree, but mentioning restaurants and gas stations will do absolutely nothing for your resume if you are looking for an IT job. It will just look like padding, and very unimpressive padding at that.
